RBC’s Green Calculator provides an estimate of the energy consumption of your current fleet without making assumptions on Ricoh and non-Ricoh devices. This tool is generic however all of our onsite investigations or proposals that feature new Ricoh devices can have more detailed and specific findings, using ‘typical electricity consumption’ (TEC) values – an independent energy usage indicator method developed by Energy Star. As part of our ongoing commitment, we can then choose to display these values as an ongoing automated service:
- kWh’s of power consumed;
- CO2 emissions in kilograms;
- Electricity cost in local currency; and
- Amount of trees that need to be planted to offset CO2 emissions.
Energy and paper consumption of proposed Ricoh devices can also be projected with the Papercut Calculator, using internal benchmarking data. This allows a snapshot projection of the benefits of a proposed managed print service change.
